Happy Birthday ERIN!

Today is my precious daughter Erins birthday! It takes me back to when I was due with her. We had gone down to a BYU football game and I remember the lady behind me asking when my baby was due. I told her and she chewed me out for being so far from home so close to my due date! Little did she know I was sure I was never having this baby! We got home about 1:00 in the morning after going out for Mexican food with our cousins. (Maybe that's why Erin added so much spice to our life?) (And gray to our hair?:D) About 2:00 am I felt this huge kick and this gush of water! She had kicked a hole in the placenta! I got up and showered and then I went back to bed because we were so tired and nothing was happening. We went to Blackfoot to do a little shopping and get some lunch and then on to my Dr. appt. When we got to the Dr. he chewed me out for dilly-dallying on the way in to his office. After he examined me, we found out that not only had she kicked a hole in the placenta, she was now coming into the world feet and hands first! He could count all of her finger and her toes! I really did not want a c-section and he tried for 1/2 an hour to move her but to no avail. (I had bruises all up and down my stomache to prove he tried!) A C-Section it was! It was a good thing I watched her be delivered as she looked so different from the others I would of tried to send her back had I not watched her be born! She brought smiles and joy into our lives from day one and still does! We are so proud of her and her accomplishments. She is gracious and loving and forgiving of her Mom's horrible memory! We love you Erin, you are a great friend and daughter!
