I want to go back to my little grass shack in Kaliiku Hawaii...

For those of you who are too young, that is a song my parents used to play all of the time! I had a wonderful time on my anniversary trip to Hawaii! It was our (Or will be) 30th anniversary so Scott took me to Kauai. We had a blast and as always he is so good to spoil me! We hiked and scuba dived and walked along the beach and ate and slept for 6 days! One interesting thing about Kauai is all of the roosters! Yes, I said roosters! They are everywhere! I lost count the first day we were there! At no extra charge, we had automatic morning wake up calls at 4:00 a.m.! That was at the Sheraton! They even have them walking through restaurants! I guess there is not any natural predator that can control the population and locals aren't allowed to kill them. (What about grouchy Idaho Grandmas that are woke up at 4:00 am.???) It was still beautiful and so relaxing! It went really fast! The day we were coming home, they had a blizzard in Idaho and I am laying on the beach thinking...Why do I live in Idaho??? Several answers may include...It's hard to move a farm. My children live in that area, too. I own a house there. My grandchildren are there. Still, none of them were good enough reasons not to move!!!! Just kidding! I'd live in Siberia just to be close to my kids and grand kids! (What do you mean I already do?) But, it has been beautiful here this last week, I love spring in Idaho. Not to mention I have some of the best friends in the world in this crazy little town! Life is good!
