I was just reminded of an embarrasing moment that happened to me several years ago when all of my kids were still home. We were getting ready to go to General Conference and were racing around trying to get the house clean and all of the random things I made my kids do before we went on a trip. I was trying to get my windows washed and the kids were fighting like cats and dogs. I finally had had it so I said to them "That's it! We are not going to go to Salt Lake unless you guys can be quiet for the next 2 1/2 hours! In fact, I am going to duct tape your mouths shut to help you out and if anyone makes a peep in the next 2 1/2 hours--we are not going!" So, I put a piece of duct tape across 5 little peoples mouths. (Derek was a Senior!) It was a challenge because they were laughing so hard and duct tape does not stick to teeth! Try it for yourself! So they all have tape on their mouths and I go outside to wash the office window. A couple of my young women had pulled up and brought me a plate of cookies. So, Scott is sitting
in his office and I look in the window and say "Want a cookie little boy?" Then I mashed my face up against the window and crossed my eyes. Then, I had a spider in my hair and I said "Ooo gross, a spider, he will probably die a horrible death in this greasy mop of hair!" My husband is calmly watching me do my thing and must of known that I was working up to my finale (which you don't want to know about!) because he softly says "Honey, did you know our banker is sitting in the office with me??" To which I say "Nut-uh, you're just trying to trick me!!" To which he reaches over and twists the other blind open and there sits our BANKER! I am being a total dork, there is stuff all over because we are leaving on a trip and five children are running through the house with their mouths duct-taped shut!! The banker looks at Scott, gives him this half-hearted smile and says "She's really fun...isn't she????" I am not sure if we got our loan that year, he probably approved it with an addded allowance of $ to commit me to Blackfoot South! (Wish I hadn't remembered that!!) This was one of those Crisis + Time = Humor! It's almost funny to me now!

I laughed so hard at this story! I can just see each kid with duck tape on their mouth! What stumped me is... you clean your windows before going out of town? :)
